

Select "Connect to a wireless display" from the Display options ( Figure 1, Englsh only).Bring up the display settings by opening Settings > System > Display.If device is Miracast, continue to step 2.If the device is Wi-Di, inform the customer that Windows 10 no longer supports Wi-Di, and a Miracast based device will be needed.This will be indicated in the instruction manual or sometimes on the device itself. Confirm if device being connected to is Wi-Di or Miracast based.The instructions below can be followed to connect to a wireless display using Miracast after the Windows 10 update.

Users who have upgraded to Windows 10 Anniversary edition will no longer see the option available for Wi-Di and instead will need to configure the system using the Miracast application. Miracast was a function of the system which allowed for mirroring of a smartphone, tablet, or PC’s screen to a television without requiring physical HDMI cables.
